Repeat quotations

Heat up some coffee grounds
The moon is shinin' bright
Lighting ev'rything in sight
But tonight no light will shine on me
Ten thousand women all dressed in white
Standin' at my window wishing me goodnight
You angel you
You're as f...You got me under your wing
The way you walk and the way you talk
I feel I could almost sing
If this is love then gimme more
And more and more and more and more
I could make it without you
If I just didn't feel so all alone
You don't touch my daughter
And in the morning, milk the cow
Handy Dandy, controversy surrounds him
There's a homeplace under fire tonight
in the Heartland
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
It's a one-track town, just brown, and a breeze, too
Pack up the meat, sweet, we're headin' out

Now, pull that drummer out from behind that bottle
Twilight on the frozen lake
North wind about to break
On footprints in the snow
Silence down below
Well, he's surrounded by pacifists who all want peace
They pray for it nightly that the bloodshed must cease
Now, they wouldn't hurt a fly. To hurt one they would weep
They lay and they wait for this bully to fall asleep
He's the neighborhood bully
Father of minutes, Father of days
Father of whom we most solemnly praise
In the dark illumination
He remembered bygone years
He read the Book of Revelations
And he filled his cup with tears
You know, a woman like you should be at home
That's where you belong
Taking care of somebody nice
Who don't know how to do you wrong
But I ain' a-got Corrina
Life don't mean a thing
I been to Sugar Town, I shook the sugar down
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie
The only thing we knew for sure about Henry Porter is that his name wasn't Henry Porter
When you're lost in the rain in Juarez
And it's Eastertime too
You'll understand I'm only a man
Doin' the best that I can
Been so long since a strange woman has slept in my bed
Look how sweet she sleeps, how free must be her dreams
I wish I was on some
Australian mountain range
I was born here and I'll die here
against my will
Big politician telling lies
Restaurant kitchen, all full of flies
Don't make a bit of difference
Have you decided whether you want to be
In heaven or in hell?
Hang on to your woman if you got one
Remember in El Paso, once, you shot one
She may have been a whore, but she was a hot one
You've been captured but by whom?
Well my heart's in the Highlands with the horses and hounds
Way up in the border country, far from the towns
With the twang of the arrow and a snap of the bow
What looks large from a distance
Close up ain't never that big
I love women
and she loves men
She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate
There was an old man and he lived in the moon
One summer's day he came passing by
The mailman comes in
Even he's gotta take a side
I did all I could and I did it right there and then
I've already confessed - no need to confess again
Went to see the gypsy
Stayin' in a big hotel
He smiled when he saw me coming
And he said, "Well, well, well"
What was it you wanted
and who are you anyway?
Jump into the wagon, love, throw your panties overboard
Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet
Putting her in a wheelbarrow and wheeling her down the street
May God bless and keep you always
Do your thing
you’ll be king
Forget about today
until tomorrow
What can I say about Claudette?
Ain't seen her since January
She could be respectably married
or running a whorehouse in Buenos Aires
He said he only deals in cash
or sells tickets to a plane crash
He’s not somebody that you play around with much
Did he make it to the top?
well he probably did and dropped
Could be the Führer
Could be the local priest
You know sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace
He took dead-center aim but he missed just the same
If you don't believe there's a price for this sweet paradise
Remind me to show you the scars
Can you cook and sew, make flowers grow
Do you understand my pain?
She got a pretty face and long white shiny legs
And the cards are no good that you're holding
Unless they're from another world
And he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad
The bombs were meant for him
He was supposed to feel bad
Build me a cabin in Utah
Marry me a wife, catch rainbow trout
Have a bunch of kids who call me "Pa"
That must be what it's all about
You've been down to the bottom
with a bad man, babe
but you're back where you belong
Go get me my pistol, babe
Honey, I'r can't tell right from wrong
Mama, of course, she said, "Hi!"
"Have you heard the news?" he said, with a grin
"The Vice-President's gone mad!"
"Where?" "Downtown." "When?" "Last night"
"Hmm, say, that's too bad!"
Don't follow leaders
Watch the parkin' meters
I don't wanna be hers, I wanna be yours
Don't know which one is worse
Doing your own thing or just being cool
With four and twenty windows
And a woman's face in ev'ry one
I can see the day coming when even your home garden
Is gonna be against the law
ain't no solution
for trouble
I'm a-leavin' tomorrow, but I could leave today
Somewhere down the road someday
Like the stillness in the wind
'Fore the hurricane begins
There's a kingdom called Heaven
A place where there is no pain of birth
Well the Lord created it, mister
About the same time He made the earth
She was married when we first met
Soon to be divorced
I helped her out of a jam, I guess
But I used a little too much force
A gypsy with a broken flag and a flashing ring
Said, "Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing"
Night after night, day after day
They strip your useless hopes away
Don't ask me nothin' about nothin'
I just might tell you the truth
Why would I want to take your life?
You've only murdered my father, raped his wife
I saw you drinking from an empty cup
I saw you buried, and I saw you dug up
But even the president of the United States
Sometimes must have to stand naked
She got stuff more potent
than a gypsy curse
Sometimes I wonder what's going on in the mind of Miss X
You know she got such a sweet disposition
I never know what the poor girl's gonna do to me next
It's unbelievable like a lead balloon
Well, I had to go down and see a guy named Mr. Goldsmith
A nasty, dirty, double-crossin', backstabbin' phony I didn't wanna have to be dealin' with
Play it for my flat-chested junkie whore
Way out in the wilderness
A cold coyote calls

"Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the poet laureate of rock 'n' roll.
The voice of the promise of the 60s counterculture.
The guy who forced folk into bed with rock.
Who donned makeup in the 70s and disappeared into a haze of substance abuse.
Who emerged to find Jesus.
Who was written off as a has-been by the end of the '80s,
and who suddenly shifted gears
releasing some of the strongest music of his career
beginning in the late '90s.
Ladies and gentlemen - Columbia recording artist Bob Dylan!"

I got a letter on a lonesome day
Every summer the town of Kemmerer Wyoming
has a music festival held in the town park.
Bands and performers come from all over the USA
and stay for three days.

At times there is a lull in the program while band tune up
or get the next band set up.
Thats when we play Bob Dylan tapes over the loud speaker.
Everyone recognizes Bob Dylans music and some sing along,
some dance and some just sit quietly and listen.

I have been a Dylan fan for 40 years
and have quite a large collection of his music at my home.
There is only one Bob Dylan, may he reign forever.
There will never be another like him.
He already knows that I am sure.
